“Everything works perfectly in the Łucznik 466 machine. Unfortunately, there is one downside – the factory pin inside is slightly too small compared to the hole and the original part. In my opinion, it looks like a simple cut thread and kept falling inside the machine. So I made a new pin by cutting it from a crochet hook. Unfortunately, the part still fell out, even though it was thicker. I then added a round, medium-soft washer about 5 mm thick at its end. Thanks to this, the pin has a larger contact surface on the plate and works perfectly. So far, everything runs smoothly! Most people ask: “Why do you need that pin?”. Indeed, the machine works without it, but when the needle is raised, the thread remains locked and we cannot maneuver it. With the pin, everything moves smoothly because the tensioner plates separate, allowing the thread to move freely in any position. Without the pin, you can try to manage with the adjustment knob, but only as far as the tensioner allows, or simply loosen the thread completely.”
