Description

36cm cast iron wok Made from a single cast of iron. ADVANTAGES: Excellent heat conduction: Even heat distribution, ideal for quick cooking. Heat retention: Maintains high temperature for a long time, perfect for frying. Durability and strength: Extremely durable and resistant to damage, can last for many years. Natural non-stick coating: After seasoning, it develops a natural non-stick surface. Versatility: Can be used on various heat sources, including open fire. Aesthetics: Classic, rustic look adding character to the kitchen. Easy maintenance: After seasoning, easy to clean, no detergents required. Cast iron cookware requires proper care, including regular oiling and correct cleaning to maintain its properties and durability. Cast iron woks can be used on all types of cookers: electric, gas, induction, ceramic, halogen. They are also perfect for baking and roasting in ovens and over campfires! Not suitable for microwave use or dishwasher cleaning. Cleaning and maintenance: After cooking, clean the cookware with a stiff nylon brush or a special cast iron cleaner and hot water. Soap is not recommended and harsh detergents should never be used. Immediately dry with paper towels and rub a very thin layer of vegetable oil while the cookware is still warm (we recommend a dedicated, specialist oil for seasoning cast iron). Do not allow the protective layer of vegetable oil to dry out – this may cause rusting. SEASONING / PROTECTING THE PAN: This procedure should be done before the first use of the wok and repeated every few months if not used regularly. 1. Wash the cookware with hot water and soap using a stiff brush. (Use soap ONLY when preparing to re-season the cookware). Rinse and dry completely. 2. Apply a thin, even layer of melted vegetable fat (or chosen cooking oil) on the cookware (inside and outside). 3. Place aluminum foil on the lower oven rack, then set the oven temperature to 180-200 °C. 4. Place the cookware upside down on the upper oven rack and bake for at least one hour. 5. After one hour, turn off the oven and leave the cookware to cool down. 6. Store the cookware uncovered in a dry place.
