Description

The emergency parachute rocket is a universal handheld long-range signal for use on water and land, day and night. It is a high-quality product approved by SOLAS/MED/USCG. It is designed to ensure reliable operation in all weather conditions, even after immersion in water. It features a special pin and a safe ignition mechanism (from the bottom), a cold—non-heating—rocket body tip, and low recoil, providing the user with simple and safe handling. Another undeniable advantage is the stabilization of the rocket's spin, which is especially useful when dealing with less sensitivity to strong wind gusts. The rocket launches a red-white flare up to 350 m high, burning for 40 seconds with a light intensity of 30,000 candelas. These parameters guarantee that the launched rocket is visible up to 30 nautical miles away. Ignition is by unscrewing the cap and pulling out the pin. Due to low visibility, parachute rockets should not be used under low cloud ceilings; in such cases, they should be fired downwind, not upwards. Emergency parachute rockets are equipment referred to in the Act of December 2, 2016, on marine equipment (Journal of Laws 2017, item 32 and 2018, item 1338) and are exempt from the Civil Explosives Act. Minimum expiration date: 02 / 2028 Currently available rockets are from PWS (yellow casing). * SOLAS / International Convention on Safety of Life at Sea - The International Convention on Safety of Life at Sea. Its origin dates back to after the British Titanic disaster in 1914, but due to the outbreak of World War I, it never came into force. Subsequent regulations defining the duties and responsibilities of states regarding broadly understood water safety come from the years: 1924, 1948, 1960, and 1974. The current SOLAS convention came into effect in 1980, with work beginning on 01.11.1974 in London. For clarification, it was supplemented on 17.02.1978 in London by a protocol concerning tankers (fuel carriers). The rules and regulations of this document are addressed to state administration bodies responsible for navigation, shipowners, captains, and manufacturers of specialized rescue equipment. The convention also regulates the safety of vessels, construction, unsinkability, stability, machinery (i.e., engines), radio communication, satellite communication, electrical installations, fire protection, meteorological information systems, glacier monitoring, rescue means and devices such as pyrotechnics, immersion suits, lifebelts, lifejackets, liferafts, and lifeboats. According to the "Marcus-Graf" Specialist Store Regulations and applicable legal provisions, the purchase of pyrotechnic materials online is allowed only for adults.
