Flame of Africa - Delonix Regia - the most beautiful tree in the world 3 seeds

❗️The package contains 3 seeds along with sowing and further cultivation instructions❗️

Flame of Africa is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful trees in the world during flowering; from a distance it looks as if it is entirely on fire thanks to its stunning flowers up to 18 cm in diameter in red-orange (golden) colors, which emit a delicate pleasant aromatic scent. Flowers appear between May and June, during the flowering period the entire plant literally covers itself with flowers. From afar it looks like it is standing in flames, hence its name "Flame of Africa" and "fiery tree of Africa".

Delonix in our climate is suitable for cultivation only in containers; in summer the plant can be placed on balconies, terraces or lawns in the garden. Flame of Africa is excellent for Bonsai, likes pruning and can be easily shaped. In Bonsai form Delonix also blooms but does not produce seeds. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful trees in the world!! Anyone can manage its cultivation!! Both as a Bonsai tree and as a regular plant.

❤️Seed sowing and cultivation:

Update from 2020.04.05: Seeds should be scarified before sowing (damage the seed coat, preferably by lightly nicking it without damaging the embryo, along the seed coat), then soak for 48 hours in warm water. Sow at a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm in a light sowing substrate. Germinates fastest in a bright and warm room at temperatures from 20 to 24 °C. Keep the substrate slightly moist but not wet; germination usually occurs within 4 – 10 weeks.

Update from 2009.10.23: Year-round sowing; seeds should be nicked with a knife or rubbed with sandpaper/file before soaking in lukewarm water for 48 hours. Sow seeds at 1 cm depth, water the sowing and place in a warm spot (22 to 25 °C).
