Gefu Perfo egg pricker stainless steel 12200

Gefu Perfo - stainless steel egg pricker Perfo is a small egg pricker from the German brand Gefu. It has a dome shape made of polished stainless steel, mounted on a black plastic base. In the recess at the top of the dome there is a hole with a needle protruding. The egg is placed in the recess with the wider end down and pressed lightly, and the needle makes a small hole in the shell. The hole is made where the air chamber is located under the shell. This allows air to escape during cooking, reducing the chance of the shell cracking while boiling. The pricker has a diameter of 55 mm and a height of 33 mm, so it fits in a drawer next to spoons and does not take up space on the countertop. Parameters Brand: Gefu Model: Perfo Manufacturer code: G-12200 EAN: 4006664122009 Type: egg pricker Material: stainless steel, plastic base Finish: polished Diameter: 55 mm Height: 33 mm Base color: black Features and benefits Piercing the shell at the air chamber side reduces the risk of the egg cracking during cooking. The shaped recess makes it easier to position the egg over the needle. Polished stainless steel is easy to clean and does not absorb odors. The plastic base stabilizes the pricker on the countertop when pressing the egg. Size 55 x 33 mm allows it to be stored in a drawer with small accessories. Application Preparing eggs for soft and hard boiling. Cooking larger batches of eggs for holidays and breakfasts when cracked eggs spoil the appearance. Eggs for salads and spreads. What to consider before purchase The egg is pricked at the wider end because that is where the air chamber is located. The pricker reduces the risk of shell cracking but does not eliminate it completely. This is a pricking accessory, not an egg holder for serving at the table.
