The most important factor in candle making is the wax temperature. When adding fragrance oils to melted wax in the melting pot, it is crucial to maintain the correct temperature because if added to wax that is too hot, the oil may evaporate, and if added to wax that is too cold, it may leak during burning, causing an unpleasant effect. Therefore, it is advisable to use a probe thermometer. Oils should be added to soy wax at approximately 55 - 60°C. Then stir very slowly and gently. This is important to prevent the fragrance from evaporating. Fragrance oils for candles are used at a ratio of 8-12% of the wax weight (80 - 120 ml per 1 kg), depending on the desired scent intensity; the more oil, the stronger the fragrance. However, do not overdo it, as high amounts may be harmful if inhaled directly. Additionally, fragrance oils can cause cloudiness and change the consistency, so we recommend testing to achieve the desired effect. How to use fragrances in diffusers? To create your own fragrance diffuser, start by choosing the right carrier. Our compositions blend perfectly with professional diffuser bases such as DPG, IPA, perfumer's alcohol, MMB, Classic, or Solketal. Next, select the appropriate fragrance concentration. Each fragrance we offer has an IFRA certificate for category 10A, specifying the maximum allowed concentration – this document is included with every product. In practice, we recommend using 10 to 30% fragrance composition in the final mixture, depending on the desired aroma intensity. After measuring the correct proportions, mix the fragrance thoroughly with the base – gently shaking or stirring with a spatula until a uniform liquid is obtained. Pour the finished mixture into a diffuser bottle and add sticks – both rattan and synthetic are suitable. For a stronger effect, you can flip the sticks after a few hours. The finished diffuser will provide fragrance for many weeks. Its longevity and intensity depend on the type of base used, fragrance amount, ambient temperature, and air circulation in the room. How to use fragrances in soaps? Making your own soaps from glycerin base is a simple and enjoyable process that allows you to give products a unique scent and character. Our fragrance compositions work perfectly for this application – each fragrance has an IFRA certificate specifying the maximum allowed concentration for Category 9, i.e., products rinsed off the skin such as soaps. To prepare scented soap, simply melt the glycerin base in a water bath or microwave (taking care not to boil), then add the chosen fragrance according to the recommended concentration. In most cases, 0.5% to 3% fragrance is recommended, depending on the composition's intensity and IFRA certificate guidelines. After adding the fragrance, mix thoroughly, pour into molds, and leave to set. After a few hours, the soap is ready to use. By using certified fragrance compositions, you can be sure the product is safe and pleasant to use, and the scent will remain on the skin subtly and naturally.
