It helps prevent secondary infections from the mattress and other complications resulting from prolonged immobilization. HOW THE PRODUCT ACHIEVES ITS INTENDED USE The sheet, equipped with a waterproof and breathable membrane, effectively protects the mattress from moisture, dirt, and harmful factors while ensuring patient comfort. By protecting the mattress and isolating the patient, the product reduces infection risk and helps maintain high hygiene standards. USER The product is intended for long-term bedridden, immobilized patients and those with physiological disorders such as incontinence, regurgitation after eating or drinking, diarrhea, and excessive sweating. It is also suitable for situations requiring special care, such as the perinatal period, reflux, or accidental bed contamination, e.g., when using a bedpan or commode. Thanks to the waterproof and breathable polyurethane membrane, the sheet: • protects the mattress from: soaking by bodily fluids, moisture, and dirt; • facilitates drying if placed on a damp mattress; The mattress protector has a sewn-in polyester mesh around the edges, finished with an elastic band that secures it to the mattress, ensuring it stays firmly in place and does not shift under the sheet when the patient sleeps, moves, or tosses due to pain. CONTRAINDICATIONS Do not use if allergic to any materials used in the product. If allergic reactions occur, such as redness, rash, itching, or swelling, discontinue use and consult a doctor. STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE • Follow instructions on the label and manual. • To maintain high hygiene standards, wash at 90°C. • Dry flat. • Do not bleach. • Do not dry clean. • Do not tumble dry. • Do not iron or press. • Store in a dry place away from moisture, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight to prevent deterioration of properties. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS • Do not use in direct contact with open wounds. • The product supports but does not replace other methods of preventing pressure sores, infections, or complications related to prolonged immobilization. Additional preventive measures are necessary. • Use does not replace other preventive measures such as regular repositioning or appropriate care products. • Do not use if permanently soiled, damaged, or if physical properties have changed affecting safety. • Not intended for sterilization. • Do not modify the product construction. • Use only as instructed. • Keep this manual and label for future reference. PRODUCT DISPOSAL Used product must be disposed of according to applicable medical waste and environmental regulations. It should not be discarded with general household waste, especially if used medically and potentially microbiologically, chemically, cytostatically hazardous, or containing dangerous secretions.
