New version of AB-25 mat now available for sale! The compound and aluminum embossing, featuring our logo, have been updated. New tests show a 15% improvement in soundproofing. This is the most effective butyl mat model from Bitmat's AB series suitable for automotive use.

We do not recommend butyl mats thicker than 2.5 mm because the butyl mat must be thoroughly rolled to fit the metal surface.

K6s foam with a strong adhesive layer featuring a closed-cell structure. Suitable for areas exposed to moisture (does not absorb water) and offers excellent acoustic and insulation properties.

The material is resistant to oils and forms a thermo-acoustic barrier that effectively absorbs noise. No heating required during installation. Temperature range from -50°C to +85°C.

For optimal effectiveness, we use 2 different product types rather than one very thick layer. We recommend AB-25 for the metal surface, with K6s foam as the second layer.

Why multiple layers?

The butyl mat stiffens the bodywork, creates a noise barrier, and eliminates resonance, rattling, and buzzing (low frequencies). The rubber foam insulates against noise and rustling (mid and high frequencies).

Remember that the butyl mat must be fully rolled out and pressed to the shape of the metal.

Bitmat mats can also be applied to plastic surfaces thanks to their self-vulcanizing properties and adhere very well to any surface.
