Description
Soy Wax for Container Candles Kerasoy Container 4130 - 1kg - BURNS KeraSoy Container 4130 soy wax - 1 kg pellets Soy wax in pellet form, developed by Kerax for container candles - in glass, ceramic, and tins. It is a ready-made plant-based blend: apart from fragrance oil and dye, no additives are required. Due to its softness, it is not intended for freestanding pillar candles cast in molds. Why choose it? Ready blend - no need to buy stearic acid or other modifiers, just fragrance and dye Pellets instead of blocks: easy weighing and even melting One pour is sufficient in most containers - fewer corrections and top-ups for larger candle batches Fragrance load up to 10-12% and compatibility with liquid, powder, flake, and block dyes Vegan and biodegradable wax, made from non-GMO soy certified by a non-GMO certificate Product specification Wax type: soy, plant-based blend KeraSoy Container 4130 Intended use: container candles, tealights; not recommended for freestanding pillar candles Form: pellets Weight: 1 kg Melting point: approx. 45.5°C Solidification point: approx. 34°C Maximum heating temperature: 85°C Recommended heating temperature: 65-70°C, approx. 75°C with powder dyes Fragrance oil addition temperature: just before pouring, after cooling wax to pouring temperature Pouring temperature: 50-60°C according to packaging Recommended fragrance load: up to 10-12% Color: ecru, practically white after solidifying; shade may slightly vary between batches Time before test burn: 48 hours SKU: WSKC30 Tips: Pouring near the solidification point improves adhesion to glass - if the surface is uneven, adjust pouring temperature by 5-10°C increments and record results. Use stainless steel containers for mixing and melting. The manufacturer advises against copper and zinc containers as they may accelerate wax discoloration. For large containers, prepare a small amount of wax for topping up and do so before the candle fully cools. Matte bloom, slight shade differences between batches, or minor shrinkage near the wick are natural features of plant waxes, not product defects. What to avoid: Overheating wax - above 85°C and prolonged heating may cause discoloration. Adding fragrance oil to too hot wax - the manufacturer recommends mixing it just before pouring. Using this wax for freestanding pillar candles - a separate pillar version is intended for that use. Burning the candle earlier than 48 hours after pouring. Instructions Weigh pellets and melt them in a water bath or double boiler, stirring during melting. Recommended heating temperature is 65-70°C, approx. 75°C with powder dyes. Do not exceed 85°C. Add dye and stir until fully dissolved. Then remove wax from heat and allow it to cool to pouring temperature before mixing in fragrance oil at up to 10-12%. Pour into clean, dry containers at least room temperature. The raw material manufacturer states that warming containers to approx. 45-50°C improves wax adhesion to walls. Leave candles to solidify undisturbed at approx. 25°C. Wait 48 hours before the first test burn. FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Is it suitable for freestanding pillar candles? No. This blend is developed for container candles. A separate pillar version is available for freestanding candles. How much fragrance oil to add? Kerax technical data sheet recommends up to 10-12%. The manufacturer advises using fragrances designed for natural waxes - paraffin fragrances often cause distortion and poorer flame quality. What wick to choose? The raw material manufacturer indicates natural waxes usually require thicker wicks than paraffin. Diameter, fragrance, and dye affect wick choice, so each combination must be tested. Trim wick to approx. 6 mm. Can the wax be dyed? Yes. According to the technical sheet, powder, liquid, flake, and block dyes work well. With powder dyes, heat wax to approx. 75°C and stir until fully dissolved.
