Often, installing a motion sensor lamp on the first and last step of the staircase is sufficient. • Whether the mounting hole (back box) diameter is between 55mm-65mm,
• Whether the 80mm lamp front will cover any plaster imperfections around the box,
• Whether the hole (back box) has sufficient depth (min 35mm for the fitting plus free space for wires),
• Whether the box edge is flush with the plaster; if not, use extension rings to extend the box in the wall,
