Buyer review
“Regarding: Valve Cover with Gasket Febi 49615. Opel Corsa D from 2013 with a 1.4 petrol engine without turbo, code A14XEL, started smoking heavily like a locomotive, burning oil, huge clouds of smoke. I was sure it was a head gasket. The crankcase breather diaphragm was like new. I decided to take a risk and replace the entire valve cover which has breather channels; something in those channels cracked or leaked, or possibly clogged, I don't know. After replacing the valve cover, the problem disappeared immediately. I recommend it. I add that it smoked even with the dipstick and oil filler cap removed, so overpressure in the crankcase was probably not the cause.”
