Purple Sand Thyme is a beautiful groundcover perennial with small purple flowers blooming from June to July, creating a distinctive flowering carpet. Individual tiny flowers are gathered in globular inflorescences located at the tips of the shoots.

Purple Sand Thyme reaches a height of 10 to 30 cm, producing creeping and upright shoots. It is an excellent plant for flower beds, rock gardens, walls, and hanging pots. Additionally, thyme is highly valued by herbalists for its medicinal properties.

Purple Sand Thyme is native to our country and fully frost-resistant. It requires permeable and dry soil, tolerates planting between paving stones, on slopes among rocks, and does not require a large amount of substrate.
