Do I need a power supply for stair fittings and stair lights with motion sensors?

• No, our stair lighting and motion and dusk sensors are powered directly from 230V mains.

Will stair lights with sensors turn on during the day?

• No, our stair fittings with motion sensors have an additional dusk sensor that blocks operation during the day. Adjusting the plastic sensor cover slides regulates the light threshold at which the lights turn on.

How to prepare wiring for recessed stair lighting?

• Wiring should be laid in cascade (from light to light) with a 3-core cable, e.g., 3x 0.75mm2, powered on one side with 230V (L+N). FI60 boxes should be flush with the wall; for easier installation, boxes with sensors (usually with more connections) can be deepened. We recommend using Wago connectors for connections.

How is cascade stair lighting usually installed?

• Typically, stair fittings are installed every other step, about 15-20 cm above the tread. In corridors, fittings are usually installed every 1m; if installed on both sides, fittings can be staggered.

What to buy to have automatic lighting when entering and leaving the staircase?

• If the wiring is 3-core, install motion and dusk sensor fittings on the first and last steps; other fittings can be without sensors. All lights will turn on automatically when ascending or descending.

What about LED bulbs for stair lights?

• We include one G4 LED 230V 2W bulb with wires with each fitting. Installation and replacement of bulbs in our fittings is tool-free; just pull out the old bulb from the socket and insert a new one. Bulbs are available for purchase from us and other suppliers.
