Strawberry tree

Arbutus unedo, known as the strawberry tree or Irish strawberry, is an evergreen shrub or small tree reaching heights of 1.5 to 2 meters. It originates from Mediterranean regions including Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Ireland, as well as parts of Asia. It features decorative, leathery leaves and attractive, spherical fruits resembling strawberries – edible, though with a distinctive slightly mealy taste.

There are several reasons to buy Arbutus unedo seeds.

✅ Firstly, this plant is an excellent choice for gardens as it is drought-resistant and performs well in challenging soil conditions.

✅ Secondly, its beautiful flowers and fruit clusters attract pollinating insects, supporting biodiversity.

✅ Additionally, the strawberry tree has health benefits, and its fruits can be used to make jams, liqueurs, or infusions.

✅ It is a plant that will add charm to any garden and bring benefits for health and the environment.

➡️ Strawberry tree - Seeds should be stratified (placed in a refrigerator for 60 days at 2-5°C) and then sown on the surface of moist soil. It is recommended to cover them with a thin layer of soil about 0.5 cm.  Maintain consistent moisture of the sowing, and after a few weeks, the first sprouts should appear.
