- Polish Manufacturer
125 mm DEEP WELL HEAD
We recommend this head for hermetic sealing of deep wells with casing pipe diameter
Head mounting size: 125 mm for PVC-U water pipes and blue well casing pipes
Special recessed flange allows use with well casing pipes with 7.5 mm wall thickness (other manufacturers' heads fit 6 mm)
The PE connector better supports the pump weight than rubber seals in pass-through heads.
The PE40 Jason connector can be replaced with any other manufacturer's connector when worn or damaged, no need to buy a new head as with competitors.
The head is a very important deep well component. It primarily protects the well from groundwater flooding and unwanted contamination by solids such as silt, sand, stones, small rodents, etc. Installing this head helps avoid unpleasant consequences related to these hazards. It saves time, money, and protects health. Our heads have appropriate certifications for use in potable water wells.
!!! IMPORTANT !!!
Our heads do not have ventilation. Is this a disadvantage or an advantage?
The purpose of installing the head is to achieve the best possible seal and protect the well from ingress of solid particles and groundwater or rainwater.
Manufacturers of ventilated heads argue that ventilation is needed to protect the pipe from damage caused by significant water level drop (vacuum) or inflow (pressure).
Assuming the well is made with standard casing pipes rated for 10 atm. In case of:
- water level drop - with a perfectly hermetic well, the water table can drop a maximum of 10 meters = 1 atm vacuum, which will not damage a standard 10 atm rated casing pipe. If water drops more than 10 meters, the well is not perfectly sealed and no vacuum forms to damage the pipe.
- water inflow - to damage the pipe, water pressure would have to reach 10 atm, which would be a flowing well, and such wells are not used. Also, if pumping causes water level drop creating vacuum, inflow pressure equalizes the pressure in the pipe.
Disadvantages of well ventilation:
- Ventilation can allow groundwater or rainwater to enter the well, contaminating it, especially if the well is in a flood-prone area.
- If ventilation is above ground, heavy metals in the air can enter the well, and excessive air exchange promotes microorganism growth.
Construction:
- The head consists of two discs made of very strong material (HDPE), with a rubber ring between them.
- The discs are connected with stainless steel screws that tightly and permanently clamp the head onto the well casing pipe.
- Our stainless steel mounting screws do not corrode, allowing easy disassembly even after long use. Other manufacturers use galvanized screws that corrode, making disassembly difficult after prolonged use.
- The head includes galvanized hydraulic connectors, a rope hanger for suspending the pump, and a cable gland for the electric cable.
- Hydraulic components are centrally mounted along the head axis, allowing easy installation of hydraulic fittings.
Head advantages
- Good dielectric and adhesive properties
- High chemical resistance
- Corrosion resistance
- Very low moisture (water) absorption
- All components in contact with drinking water are certified
- High durability
- Excellent quality
- Solid workmanship
- Low price
