1. Soil preparation

Remove weeds, stones, and old turf, then level the soil surface. Enrich the soil by applying 3 kg/100 m2 of multi-component fertilizer or lawn fertilizer. It is also recommended to spread about 150 - 200 liters of deacidified peat per 100 m2. Mix peat and fertilizer into the soil to a depth of about 5 - 8 cm. Keep the soil moist until plants emerge.

2. Seed sowing

Sow 2.5 - 4 kg of seeds per 100 m2. Divide the prepared portion in half. Sow one half lengthwise and the other crosswise (cross sowing).

3. Raking and rolling again:

Gently rake the surface to lightly cover the seeds with soil. Do not bury them too deep – they should be about 1-2 mm below the surface. Use a garden roller or board to gently compact the area, which helps provide better germination conditions.

4. Maintenance

Water the lawn regularly, preferably early morning or evening. Fertilize early spring with 2 kg/100 m2 lawn fertilizer. From April to October, feed the grass with lawn fertilizer every 4 - 6 weeks. Use a specialized autumn lawn fertilizer in the fall.

5. Mowing

Mow and maintain the lawn regularly. Perform the first mowing when grass reaches about 10 - 12 cm. Then mow the lawn shortening it to about 5 - 8 cm. Do not cut more than 1/3 of the blade length at once.

Remember that regular maintenance such as mowing and watering is key to keeping a healthy and attractive lawn all year round.

1. How can I be sure the seeds I buy will germinate?

The seeds in our grass mixtures have a special qualification certificate issued by the State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service. This is an independent institution responsible for testing and certifying seeds for purity and germination strength. We guarantee that our grasses contain almost 100% pure seeds without foreign varieties. Additionally, all mixtures we sell are produced in Poland and adapted to local climatic conditions. They have a long shelf life (at least 2 years), meaning they are always fresh and germinate strongly.

2. How long does it take for grass to germinate - when will I see the first results?

Germination time depends on many factors such as sowing date, soil quality, temperature, and moisture. Each seed type has its own germination time. Under optimal conditions, the first seeds should start to germinate within 3-7 days. The entire grass growth process can take up to 4 weeks. We recommend patience (especially when sowing in early spring or late autumn) and proper care.

3. Sports grass S-1 - seed characteristics

The sports mixture S-1 contains 70% perennial ryegrass seeds. It ensures quick regrowth and proper regeneration of damaged turf areas. It is complemented by red fescue (20%), which strengthens the grass against adverse conditions and moderate shading. Hard fescue makes up 5% of the mixture. It is a perennial grass that grows where others fail. The appropriate addition is Kentucky bluegrass (5%), which improves lawn quality by creating a soft and compact turf effect.
