Why choose the Arpon grass seed mix?

By choosing Arpon Grass, you can be sure your lawn will be not only beautiful and attractive but also durable and resistant to heavy use.

✅ Quickly roots and greens up.

✅ Produces a dense, lush turf.

✅ Resistant to foot traffic and intensive use.

Ideal for use on:

✅ universal lawns - home gardens,

✅ recreational lawns,

✅ sports fields.

Due to its exceptional durability under heavy use, sports turf is perfect for sports fields and home gardens. The mix consists of seeds resistant to trampling and tearing during intense use.

It has a strong and compact root system that minimizes mechanical damage to the turf. Thanks to its rapid regeneration, sports turf is ideal for home lawns, where it can withstand even the most extreme play by children or large dogs while maintaining a high-quality lawn.

Want a beautiful home lawn?

The first step is choosing a good grass seed mix!

Mix composition:

• Red fescue – 25%
• Perennial ryegrass – 55%
• Hybrid ryegrass – 10%
• Westerwold ryegrass – 10%

When to sow?

• Grass can be sown from spring to autumn;
• Best to sow in late April/May or September/October when the soil is moist and there are no extreme heat or frost;
• It can be sown in summer but it’s better to avoid this as the soil is dry, making cultivation difficult and requiring extensive watering.

Reliable quality!

The grass has a CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION ISSUED BY THE STATE PLANT HEALTH AND SEED INSPECTION SERVICE.

The grass is produced in Poland, ensuring resistance to our highly variable climate conditions.

Arpon grass is so popular among customers because it is exceptionally resistant to various weather conditions, performing well in both hot and cold days. Secondly, it has self-regenerating ability, allowing it to quickly recover its green appearance after damage. Finally, thanks to its dense structure, this grass creates a beautiful, even carpet of green turf that is visually pleasing and comfortable to use.

At PHU ARPON SP.K. we ensure the highest quality of our lawn grass seeds by basing every stage of production on precision and experience. Our mixes are designed for the perfect lawn – beautiful, durable, and adapted to various climatic and soil conditions.

All seeds are carefully selected and undergo rigorous quality tests, including purity, germination ability, and disease resistance. This ensures our products stand out not only for their excellent appearance but also for durability and resistance to heavy use.

Lawn installation:

STEP 1

SITE PREPARATION

• Remove all stones, rubble, trash, weeds, branches, leaves, and roots of removed plants.
• Dig the area to a depth of a spade 20-25cm, turning the soil thoroughly. Remove any remaining stones and weeds.
• Check soil type and improve its quality. The best topsoil for lawns is well-draining sandy-loam soil 20-30cm thick. The ideal soil pH for grasses is between 5.5-7.0. If pH is lower, liming is necessary to raise soil pH.
• Level and roll the lawn area.
• Remove weeds. Leave the area fallow for 3-5 weeks and regularly pull out emerging weeds. If time is limited, spray with a herbicide about a week before sowing or laying turf.

STEP 2

SOWING

• Sow seeds manually (1kg/40m²) using cross sowing over the entire area, sowing half the seeds lengthwise and half crosswise, or use a seed drill (1kg/50m²).
• After sowing, cover seeds with a one-centimeter layer of soil.

STEP 3

CARE

• During germination, maintain constant soil moisture – mist seeds lightly with fine water droplets (to avoid washing seeds away).
• First mowing should be done when grass reaches 8-9cm height, cutting blades to 3-5cm. Water regularly.
