Catnip FAASENA is a perennial plant with greenish-gray leaves and blue-violet flower spikes gathered in terminal spikes up to 30 - 50 cm long; the more sunlight the flowers and shoots receive, the more intensely they color. It blooms long and abundantly from early May to the end of September. It has a pleasant, penetrating, mint-like scent that cats like.

The raw material of Catnip are the leaves and flower shoots which contain a lot of vitamin C. An infusion from the plant relieves colds and fever, reduces nervousness (calms), colic in children, headaches, and stomach problems. In the kitchen, it is used as an addition to meat and salads. Additionally, Catnip repels flies and mosquitoes. It is an attractive perennial plant for growing in perennial flower beds, rock gardens, slopes, and flower walls, and is also suitable for indoor cultivation. The species is easy to grow, grows everywhere but prefers sandy, well-drained soil with a neutral pH; the plant is completely frost-resistant in our climatic conditions.
