Sowing time depends on weather conditions. It is important that the soil is moist and there is no risk of frost or extreme heat. Optimal conditions ensure fast growth with minimal effort.

Soil Preparation

1. Before sowing, properly prepare the area – remove weeds, stones, level and loosen the surface.
2. The lawn should be established on well-draining soil – enriched with deacidified peat or peat substrate with a small amount of sand.
3. Before laying the lawn, it is advisable to enrich the soil with fertilizer.

Sowing

1. Evenly sow the seeds on the prepared soil. Recommended seed rate: 2.5 – 3 kg per 100m2 of lawn area.
2. For uniform lawn growth, sow seeds both lengthwise and crosswise (so-called cross sowing).
3. Then gently cover the seeds by raking them about 1-2 cm under the soil surface.
4. To keep seeds in place (protection against wind and birds), lightly roll the soil. Maintain consistent soil moisture by regular watering.

Care

1. First mowing is recommended when grass reaches 8-12 cm height. Subsequent mowings should be done regularly, cutting the lawn to about 5-8 cm.
2. Do not let the lawn dry out. Water regularly. Best to water early morning or late evening.
3. Regular fertilization is important. To maintain good lawn condition, it is also recommended to perform verticutting and aeration once a year.
4. These treatments should not be done in the first year after lawn establishment as they may cause damage.
