The first step is choosing a good grass seed mix!

Seed mix composition:

• Perennial ryegrass - 25%.
• Red fescue - 25%.
• Hard fescue - 5%.
• Reed fescue - 5%.
• Westerwold ryegrass - 20%.

When to sow?

• Grass can be sown from spring to autumn;
• best to choose late April/May or September/October when the soil is moist and heatwaves or frosts are unlikely;
• grass can be sown in summer but it’s better to avoid it because the soil is dry, making cultivation difficult and requiring extensive watering.

All seeds are carefully selected and undergo rigorous quality tests, including purity, germination ability, and disease resistance. This makes our products stand out not only for their excellent appearance but also for durability and resistance to heavy use.

Lawn establishment:

STEP 1

PREPARE THE AREA

• Remove all stones, rubble, trash, weeds, branches, leaves, and roots of removed plants.
• Dig the area to a depth of a spade 20-25cm, turning the soil thoroughly. Remove any remaining stones and weeds.
• Check soil type and improve its quality. The best topsoil for a lawn is well-draining sandy-loam soil 20-30cm thick. The ideal soil pH for grasses is between 5.5-7.0. If pH is lower, liming is necessary to raise soil pH.
• Level and roll the area for the lawn.
• Remove weeds. Leave the area fallow for 3-5 weeks and regularly pull out emerging weeds. If time is limited, spray a week before sowing or laying turf with a herbicide.

STEP 2

SOWING

• Sow seeds manually (1kg/40m²) using cross sowing over the entire area, sow half the seeds lengthwise and half crosswise, or use a seed drill (1kg/50m²).
• After sowing, cover seeds with a one-centimeter layer of soil.

STEP 3

CARE

• During germination, maintain constant soil moisture – sprinkle seeds with a gentle fine water spray (to avoid washing seeds away).
• First mowing should be done when grass reaches 8-9cm height, cutting blades to 3-5cm. Water regularly.
