Trachycarpus Wagnerianus basically needs no introduction, as it is the best Trachycarpus for general cultivation AND SURELY EVERY PALM ENTHUSIAST IN THE GARDEN HAS HEARD OR READ ABOUT THIS SPECIES AND WOULD DEFINITELY LIKE TO HAVE IT IN THEIR COLLECTION!!! Trachycarpus Wagnerianus will grow almost anywhere. It can be found from Iceland! all the way to tropical Costa Rica. It thrived in both places. We are convinced that it will eventually replace T. fortunei as the most popular cold-hardy palm once it becomes more widely available. Wagnerianus is a little-known variety in the wild, known only from cultivation, and Japan is commonly considered the country of origin of this species, where it is already very popular.

Among its many attributes are:

Document dated 01.05.2019: Year-round seed sowing, seeds can be germinated using the bag method, soak seeds for about 48 hours in boiled water at room temperature, then cover seeds with a fungicide or seed dressing and place them in a zip-lock bag with moist coconut fiber or peat. Place the prepared set in a warm place at about 25°C. After germination, gently plant seeds into pots and move to a bright warm location.

Document dated 01.02.2018: Year-round seed sowing, soak seeds in lukewarm water for 48 hours before sowing, then plant seeds at a depth of 2 cm, cover the container with a damp cloth and place in a warm place (22–28°C). The substrate should remain constantly moist, seeds germinate from 1 to 6 months after sowing.
