Buyer review

“The grass for dry areas is behind the fence. It grew healthy on sandy soil lightly mixed with compost. The photo shows the grass 2.5 weeks after sowing. Sown at the beginning of September. The grass does not tend to lay down.”

💯 Perennial lawn

Make sure the grass you buy is perennial. This will save you time, effort, and money in the following years. Our product contains no unnecessary fillers.

💪 High Durability and Resistance

Perennial ryegrass: Provides wear resistance and quick recovery, ideal for home lawns. Use freely, you can walk on it, children can play ball, and dogs can run freely.

🏡 Self-thickening

Red fescue: Increases grass tolerance to various conditions, including poor soils and drought. This variety continuously thickens bare spots, even in the years following lawn establishment.

🔆 High Tolerance to Conditions

Tall fescue: Shows exceptional resistance to conditions such as high temperatures, water shortages, and heavy use. It is ideal for regions with challenging climates where other species may struggle to survive. Tall fescue ensures durability and maintains lawn aesthetics even in the toughest conditions.

🌟 Strength and Flexibility

Hard fescue: Offers excellent lawn strength and flexibility. Its presence in the mixture contributes to wear resistance and ease of maintenance, making it perfect for functional lawns.

1. Soil preparation

Remove weeds, stones, and old turf, then level the soil surface. Enrich the soil by spreading 3 kg/100 m2 of multi-component fertilizer or lawn fertilizer. It is also recommended to spread about 150 - 200 liters of deacidified peat per 100 m2. Mix peat and fertilizer into the soil to a depth of about 5 - 8 cm. Keep the soil moist until plants emerge.

2. Seed sowing

Sow 2.5 - 4 kg of seeds per 100 m2. Divide the prepared portion in half. Sow one half lengthwise and the other half crosswise (cross sowing).

3. Raking and rolling:

Gently rake the surface to lightly cover the seeds with soil. Do not bury them too deep – they should be about 1-2 mm below the surface. Use a garden roller or board to lightly compact the soil, which helps create better germination conditions.

4. Maintenance

Water the lawn regularly, preferably early morning or evening. Fertilize with 2 kg/100 m2 lawn fertilizer in early spring. From April to October, feed the grass with lawn fertilizer every 4 - 6 weeks. Use a specialized autumn lawn fertilizer in the fall.

5. Mowing

Mow and maintain the lawn regularly. Perform the first mowing when grass reaches about 10 - 12 cm. Then mow to a height of about 5 - 8 cm. Do not cut more than 1/3 of the blade length at once.

Remember that regular maintenance such as mowing and watering is key to keeping a healthy and attractive lawn all year round.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How can I be sure the seeds I buy will germinate?

The seeds in our grass mixtures have a special qualification certificate issued by the State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service. This is an independent institution responsible for testing and certifying seeds for purity and germination strength. We guarantee that our grasses contain almost 100% pure seeds without foreign varieties. Additionally, all mixtures we sell are produced in Poland and adapted to local climatic conditions. They have a long shelf life (at least 2 years), meaning they are always fresh and germinate strongly.

2. How long does it take for grass to germinate - when will I see the first results?

Germination time depends on many factors such as sowing date, soil quality, temperature, and moisture. Each seed type has its own germination period. Under optimal conditions, the first seeds should start to germinate within 3-7 days after sowing. The entire grass growth process can take up to 4 weeks. We recommend patience (especially when sowing in early spring or late autumn) and proper care.

3. Grass for dry areas N-1 - seed characteristics

Perennial ryegrass makes up 60% of the dry area mixture. It is a low, loosely tufted grass that forms a strong turf with an even structure across the area. Tall fescue (15%) is highly resistant to poor soil conditions and high temperatures, while the strongly tillering red fescue (20%) has a strong root system and ensures excellent turf condition during prolonged drought. It also tolerates low mowing and foot traffic well. The mixture is complemented by hard fescue (5%), a slow-growing grass with low soil and water requirements. It enhances the lawn's durability and provides good coverage in sun-exposed areas.
